Hyland Precast Inc. was founded in 1981 and is located on 6 acres of land that is owned by the Company in the Comox Valley near Highway 19 between the City of Courtenay and the Village of Cumberland and within close proximity to Mount Washington. The Comox Valley is going through significant growth with the recent expansion of the region’s airport with direct flights to cities in Western Canada and the United States, an increase in eco tourism, numerous developments to service a burgeoning retirement community, a $120 million expansion at the CFB airforce base and the latest ranking of the Mt. Washington Ski Resort in the top ten ski resorts in B.C. and Washington by the number of skiers.

Hyland operates a ready mix concrete business, which includes ICF (Insulating Concrete Form) production with a fleet of over 10 trucks and a sand and gravel pit adjacent to the company’s property. Hyland also manufactures a broad range of precast concrete products. The Company has its own batch plant and a full range of crushers for its gravel pit operations.
